Support the Research

Support the Work

The most direct way to support this work is to support the research it feeds.

Dr. Lakisha does not run a tip jar. The research, the frameworks, and the equity mission all live inside the Kiona Foundation, a 501(c)(3) public charity. Giving there is tax-deductible, it uses infrastructure that already exists, and it reaches the work directly.

"I do this work because rigorous, dignified care should never depend on who you are or where you live."

Ways to Support

More than one way to stand with the work.

Give to the Research

A tax-deductible gift to the Kiona Foundation supports the IRB-registered research and the equity mission directly. This is the most direct way to help.

Where Your Support Goes

To evidence, and to the communities it serves.

Support reaches the Kiona Foundation's IRB-registered research on the endocannabinoid system, generated with the communities most affected and offered with informed consent in English, Spanish, and Haitian Creole. It holds the work to a recognized standard of evidence, so that botanical medicine earns a permanent place in the systems that decide who receives care. Health, agricultural, and Indigenous equity are the reason for that standard, not an afterthought to it.
